Dominic has more than two decades of professional experience in the public, private and community sectors working as an advisor, advocate, negotiator, law reform and policy consultant and mediator.

​Past employers and clients include Commonwealth and State government agencies, statutory Aboriginal Land Councils and native title representative bodies, private law firms, numerous non-government agencies, corporations, and native title claimant groups and Aboriginal communities.

Dominic has experience in a broad range of legal and policy areas including environment and planning, Aboriginal land rights and native title, administrative law, criminal law, commercial litigation, corporate structuring and governance and community development projects. His work includes acting and advising in relation to:

  • land access, use and management arrangements,

  • native title proceedings and agreement making – including acting on behalf of native title claim groups, Aboriginal land councils, non-claimant applicants, and other landowners and stakeholders,

  • law reform and policy development projects,

  • administrative law proceedings and appeals,

  • clean energy projects,

  • biodiversity offsets and carbon farming arrangements,

  • minerals and petroleum development projects, and

  • organisational structuring and governance.

Qualifications

Dominic has the following qualifications awarded by the University of Sydney:

  • Bachelor of Arts

  • Bachelor of Laws (Honours)

He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management from the Governance Institute of Australia and is a trained mediator.
